Graduate Profile
The Graduate from the Bachelor degree in Public Accounting will have the knowledge, skills and attitudes for entrepreneurship and research. As an able decision-maker and problem-solver in the areas of accounting, fiscal procedures, financial costs and auditing, the Graduate will act according to professional ethics and morals, as well as laws and regulations in order to meet the needs of national and international economic enterprises. Care will always be taken of the environment, in aiming at sustainability and the improvement of the quality of life in society, by using information technologies, appropriate resources and effective communication skills.
1. Accounting and administrative skills:
The ability to design and implement accounting procedures to form financial information systems, including: preparing, analyzing and interpreting financial statements and reports to advise on accounting, financial and organizational aspects; capturing, recording, analyzing, interpreting for financial decision making; analyzing, interpreting and the application of tax laws in organizations; preventing and detecting errors and deviations in accounting procedures and records and proposing of solutions; the use of electronic systems for the preparation, analysis and procedures for accounting with regards to information concerning finance, fiscal taxes, costs and audits; designing and implementing quality measures; and exercising and delegating authority to fulfill accounting and administrative purposes.
2. Interpersonal skills:
The possession of leadership skills, including the ability to: negotiate; work in a team in a disciplined manner; adapt to the organizational climate and to new technologies; and promote social change and development.
3. Intellectual skills:
The ability to analyze and systematize information, including: calculating and interpreting figures; learning to learn; finding out how to solve problems and communicating effectively in oral and written Spanish; effective oral and written communication in English, at an intermediate level.
